Not sure if this is supposed to happen, but it's another reason I've just permanently set DF to "pause" background cycling.ĭF was awesome with win7, and the cool features of win10 made me excited, but so far It's just more broken. Very annoying when trying to find a file in a large folder. This means if I have the backgrounds cycling then it will reset my location in a window back to the top each time it cycles.

I've also noticed that during background transitions, if I am in the middle of working a folder, or trying to find a file in a folder, DF will "freak out" all my windows for a sec and seemingly trying to figure out what's going, resetting all my window locations back to the top and being a pain in the butt. The more background cycles, the worse the performace gets. I've noticed that if I keep the background cycles on "pause" then this degredation does not occurr and I don't get the slowdown until I unpause and let it cycle a bunch of times. Now it can't even handle more than a few background changes before the system-wide performance degrades to the point of being useless and I need a system reboot. I used to be able to let DF run and cycle through background images at any interval with no issue until I "upgraded" to win10. I finally made this account just to jump on this discussion and say that everything Darrel2 and others have said also apply to me.
